Academia 9: Study (and Eat) with Me
Hello my beautiful friends!
Today I have decided to write a combined 'Study with Me' and 'What I Eat in a Day' post inspired by a recent video from one of my favourite Youtubers, Holly Gabrielle (a second year Oxford student). This post took place on Wednesday 4th April.
Breakfast
For breakfast I ate banana porridge (containing a banana, oats and almond milk) with a nectarine and cinnamon and a green tea. I try to eat a healthy breakfast before a revision day with lots of fruit because I believe healthy food often leads to better concentration. Hunger pangs can be distracting, so I ensure my breakfast is wholesome and filling too!
Morning Study Session
At the start of each study day I ensure I have a full bottle of water. Staying hydrated is very important for concentration! Having a bottle of water ready at the start of the day prevents you procrastinating or wasting time later in the day to get water.
I began my day reviewing some physics revision cards from I topic I'd revised earlier in the week. I recommend regularly and briefly reviewing revision cards to benefit your long term memory.
Then, I revised some further maths revision cards for Core Pure. I have recently been tested on these chapters, so I am fairly confident with them, but I revised my cards to refresh my memory. Again, regularly revising chapters benefits your long term memory.
(I had become slightly peckish by this time, so I decided to eat some crackers as a snack.)
I finished my morning study session by completing a maths review exercise for mechanics. I have had a number of mechanics tests recently, so (again) I am fairly confident with these chapters. But I believe mechanics always improves with practise, and thus I decided to do this review.
Lunch
For lunch I decided to have another healthy meal. I ate wholemeal pasta with mushrooms and baby spinach in the hope that this healthy food would maintain my concentration.
Afternoon Study Session
Dinner
My parents cooked dinner and for dinner I had vegetarian sausages, broccoli, roast potatoes and gravy (a sort of vegetarian roast dinner). I did not take photos of this because I was eating with my family and we have a fairly strict "no phones at the dinner table" rule.
I hope this post has provided you with an interesting insight into my life. However, please note that I do not eat this healthily nor study this much everyday. This day is simply one day in my life and I do not aim to upset anyone through this post.
I wish you a productive remainder of your Easter holiday and good luck for any upcoming exams (if you do have exams coming up)!

Afternoon Study Session
After lunch I did another maths review exercise, but this review exercise was covering the pure chapters. Similar to the mechanics review exercise, I am confident with these chapters, but I try to cover maths review exercises regularly to stay practised.
The final task I did was revision for my upcoming economics test. I revised a few sets of revision cards before watching some economics Youtube videos because my brain was FRIED!
In total, I completed around 8 hours of revision this day.
