Academia 12: Good Luck!
Hello my beautiful friends!
I know many UK students (and students elsewhere) begin exams next week or in the near future: GCSE, AS, A Level, university exams, etc. This is a little note to say "good luck".
Exam season can be a stressful time for everyone, but I promise that these exams will go so, so quickly. However, I urge you to not completely abandon your mental health for the sake of these exams. Revise hard, but equally take time away from revision during revision breaks to watch Netflix, read a book or do anything you enjoy.
During my GCSE exams (here's a lil anecdote) I crossed exams off my exam timetable after I had taken the exam and I completely recommend this. It is so satisfying and enables you to appreciate how quickly exam season is passing. I would equally like to express that you feel overwhelming satisfaction and a huge sense of achievement when you walk out of your final exam (this feeling alone almost makes exam season worthwhile).
As many people may tell you, these exams do not define you. Your grades are almost irrelevant since your determination and drive truly achieves your aims in life. However, as I have learnt from personal experience with my GCSE exams, hard work does pay off. HARD WORK DOES PAY OFF. At the end of the day, the hours of revision you are putting in does achieve your end goal.
If you do not achieve your wanted grades, do not be discouraged. Look at alternative options with an open mind because they may be more appealing to you and appropriate for your aims. As always, you can retake exams too, so one bad grade can be reformed if necessary. Do not stress!
This note may seem a bit rambley, but anyhow I wish all of my readers good luck for your exams. You are capable of your best! You can smash these exams! You can do it!
Open up to others if you are feeling stressed or have any questions. The comment section and my dms are open to everyone. I am sending my love! 🍀
