About Me

My name is Anna and I am the person behind Mathsstudygram, this blog that I created on January 15, 2018 as an extension to my Studygram on Instagram (@mathsstudygram). I post a new blog post every Monday.

The main focus of my blog is academia. From a young age, I have been very academically driven; I achieved 9 A*s and 3 As (or equivalent) at GCSE. Currently, I am in Year 13 studying A Level maths, further maths, physics and economics with predicted grades of 4 A*s. In September 2019, I will commence studying the MSci Mathematics course at the University of Birmingham because this is my firm choice and I am part of their unconditional offer scheme. My academic journey has had both high and low point, my lowest point so far being rejected from the University of Oxford; however, I hope to blog about all aspects of my academic life to inspire and guide others.

Whilst my blog will have a few lifestyle and random posts, another key focus of my blog is mental health. I have suffered with mental health issues for several years, namely anxiety and depression, so I wish to share my experiences with others. Hopefully, my small voice can break some stigma around mental health and, whilst I am not a trained medical professional, I do hope to offer some form of help.

Thank you so much for finding my blog. Please remember that you are loved. I am so, so, so excited to take you on my journey.
